The Agnes Jones Jackson/ NAACP Scholarship


Agnes Jones Jackson was a long time member and support of the NAACP's branch in San Francisco, California. A scholarship in her name will award 40 students under the age of 25 scholarship awards that can be used towards an accredited university or college.
Scholarship eligibility: Applicants must currently be a member of the NAACP and a US citizen, must not be age 25 by the application deadline, must currently be accepted or enrolled at an educational institution in the United States and must exhibit financial need based on the federal poverty standards.

Applicants must be a full-time graduating high school senior or undergrad with an average 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale system. Graduate students may be full or part-time but must hold a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale system.

The award amount is $2,000, and the deadline to apply is usually in MAY.
