Rapper, songwriter, and philanthropist Will.i.am, a member of the rap/pop group Black Eyed Peas, is providing financial assistance to students via his organization called I.Am.Angel Foundation. This foundation aims to create the next generation of visionaries and leaders. Since it's inception, the program has already given away close to $1 million in scholarship awards.
As part of his dedication to philanthropy, Will.i.am introduced the i.am.angel Foundation in 2009 to TRANS4M lives through education, inspiration, and opportunity. The i.am.angel foundation overseas charitable activities and programs directed towards providing college scholarships (i.am scholarship), college preparation (i.am College Track), and opportunities in STEAM education (Engineering, Science, Arts, Technology, and Mathematics).

The i.am.angel Foundation is especially committed to changing will.i.am’s hometown of Boyle Heights in east Los Angeles. Boyle Heights is a predominantly low-income, working-class, immigrant community rich in culture and potential, yet struggling due to a lack of resources and opportunities.

“I know my purpose is to continue to inspire young people because it also keeps me inspired. I want to do my part, I want to invest in America’s future and I want to everyone to have an opportunity to  have a college education. i.am here to encourage you to be anything you want to be. You are the world's future,” comments Will.i.am.

The deadline to apply for this scholarship VARIES, and the award amount ranges from $5,000 to $25,000.
